People

People come into your life for a reason
  to teach you a lesson
  to make you stronger
  to love you
  to challenge you
  to betray you
  to compete with you.

I struggle through the tears
  of dismissiveness
  unacknowledging
  unsupportive
  wreckless
  abandonement

The only betrayal here is of trust, loyalty, and friendship

friendship is secondary, of course, which pulls itself through with this uncertainty

but the mark within my psyche is there, permanently

"People may forget what you say but will never forget how you made them feel."

This is one such instance and the theme continues...

If you cannot announce publicly what you feel inside then the outside is inside out like the relationship

I make people so comfortable that they feel they don't need to exude any energy in my direction...as I read in a recent article...strong, independent women need people once in a while when the chips are down, to acknowledge their strength, their love, their steadfastness, their loyalty, their value...this is an extrinsic value...the intrinsic value is there as a mask and people misread it for not needing any nurturing, development and love...northing could be further from the truth.
